1-Minute Maths update!

We are thrilled to announce our exciting 1-Minute Maths app update!
The app includes a range of new tasks based on multiplication and division to accompany the addition and subtraction-based tasks available since its launch in January, covering all four rules of arithmetic children learn during Key Stage 1.
The app also includes subitising tasks, another learning method introduced to children during their early years and available in the original version.
This update increases the unique tasks featured in the app from 40 to 60, with an additional 13 multiplication and 6 division tasks!

Since our first edition of the app launched in January, we have seen millions of people across the world downloading 1-Minute Maths. While we are not completely surprised - it's a free download our maths specialists designed as a fun learning tool - it still feels incredible to know that it now sits on devices in homes and schools globally, from Halifax to Hong Kong and many other places too! That's a lot of children enjoying a fast and engaging way with maths!
We are sure the app will continue to grow in popularity with the update ensuring tasks cover all basic number core concepts. What's more, as a free download, children worldwide can continue to benefit from 1-Minute Maths without teachers, parents or carers having to pay a penny!
New to 1-Minute Maths?
You might not have heard about the app yet or had the chance to download it for a child to play.
1-Minute Maths is a fast and fun game that helps children gain confidence and skill with number. It includes easy-to-follow tasks - each one teaching basic number - delivered in engaging, bite-sized chunks using a method children can enjoy. It can be used independently both in class and at home, making it the perfect learning aid teachers, parents, and carers appreciate as much as the children who use it!
Primarily, the app aims to support Key Stage 1 pupils. This is when children learn the four rules of arithmetic - adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing – and 'Subitising', the method of instantly recognising items in a group without counting. That's not to say KS2 children won't enjoy the app – as it goes, we know of many adults who enjoy playing the app and testing their maths skills 1 minute at a time!
How 1-Minute Maths works
Each 1-minute task provides engaging and targeted practice in basic number. The app generates questions randomly, so the user never sees the same ones in sequence – meaning they learn the concept and not a series of answers. Once a task completes, the results are presented on the screen, giving instant feedback. It's so simple to use and, most of all, lots of FUN!
What's more, the app has no specific starting point, designed as a 'pick up and play at any time' tool with no set place to start.
