This webinar is designed to support teachers in planning for our Year 7 Scheme of Learning Autumn Block 4 Place Value and Ordering Integers and Decimals.

Being secure with place value is fundamental and this session builds on students’ learning at KS1 and 2, using a wide variety of representations to cement place value understanding in numbers up to one billion. The session then considers the use of number lines exploring their use to compare and order numbers. This skill facilitates understanding rounding and key learning points within this.
Finally, strategies for using powers of 10 in calculations are shared, preparing students for standard form.

Please note that it is not necessary to have attended any of the previous EYFS webinars before attending this one.
