In this session we start by exploring how concrete resources can be used to introduce algebraic notation. We then consider how best to use concrete resources to support further algebraic thinking, for example, when working with functions or solving equations.
This session is ideal for all secondary maths teachers, non-specialist teachers or NQTs, who are less experienced in the use of concrete manipulatives.
