Double-sided counters can be used in multiple different ways in the classroom to help students make sense of maths. This session focuses on the use of double-sided counters to understand the ‘why’ instead of just knowing the ‘how’ in some key curriculum areas, such as directed number.

This session is ideal for all secondary maths teachers, non-specialist teachers or NQTs who are less experienced in the use of double-sided counters.
