Well, you’ll be pleased to know that we are taking our ‘Train the tutor’ programme on the road to Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and London this June and July, and we are inviting teaching assistants to join us!
We all know how additional tutoring can bridge learning gaps or progress children struggling with maths to catch up with their peers faster. We also know that many schools at the moment are looking at the most cost-effective and high impact way of supporting their children with catch-up in maths. While some TAs or other support team members have the skills, they don't always have the confidence to teach maths independently.
White Rose Maths is here to help overcome these challenges. Our new 'Train the tutor' model provides the perfect opportunity for your colleagues to undergo training on the White Rose Maths tuition programme, a valuable resource with all the right tools they need to teach the maths curriculum confidently.
Drawing from our amazing bank of resources, we have developed a 15-hour catch-up programme that focuses on the key areas children need to master to help them succeed in maths.

Our expert maths specialists and tutors will carefully guide your team through the 2-day programme. We will train your colleagues on effective small group intervention techniques, making sure the methods used during your training match those your teachers are using in the classroom.
So far, the White Rose Maths tutoring programme has trained over 6,000 children, and feedback from schools has been really positive. Our programme is making a difference, closing gaps and boosting confidence to help more children succeed.
