As we move from a busy February into March, it’s time to meet another of our fantastic team members working hard at White Rose Maths.
But what exactly does Carol do at White Rose Maths each day to support our wonderful customers from around the world? Let’s find out!
I’ve recently joined the company as a Finance Assistant. Before this, I was a Case Officer for a Christian Debt Management Charity (CAP) – so it was still in the Finance Sector and very much with my eyes and brain focused on figures.
I deal with all incoming payments, including managing receipts, tracking, processing and allocating payments, and raising invoices against orders placed. I also deal with customer payment queries. If anyone has a question about their bill, I'm likely the one they will be chatting to.
I’ve really enjoyed getting to know my team; it’s important to know the people you work with, and I’m still relatively new to White Rose Maths. I’m getting through lots of receipt allocations and clearing off outstanding invoices at the moment, which feels good to tick off a list as actioned. It does help that I absolutely love numberwork, so a specialist maths provider is certainly the right workplace for me.
Daring to use it was a big step forward! It’s good fun for adults, with the quick aspect a great way to keep your brain on its toes. Although there are so many children who will benefit from using it, I love how it gives primary school children everywhere the opportunity to embrace maths.
To be fluent in more than one language, to be a skilled patisserie chef, and to design, build and fit my own luxury kitchen. The sense of satisfaction of seeing my dream space come together and using my own hands and skills would be incredible!
Ooh, now we’re talking! I picture myself relaxed in a custom-built villa by the sea, preferably in a warm climate such as St Kitts or Antigua, surrounded by my family, with great food, great weather, and great fellowship.
