We are delighted to announce that White Rose Maths is working with the Department for Education to provide FREE Continuous Professional Development to the Further Education Workforce. This training will be targeted at teachers who teach resit maths, including GCSE and Functional Skills Qualifications (FSQs) to 16–19-year-olds in Further Education (FE) settings.
Up to three cohorts of Post-16 providers will participate in the training and you can sign up here to be in the first cohort!
The evidenced-based programme will run for 14 months with the first cohort starting in February 2023. There will be three stages to the programme:
Each post-16 provider will be supported by a dedicated White Rose Maths specialist as their Programme Lead. The Programme Lead will work closely with the Maths Subject Lead in the provider to support them with choice of modules, completing activities between training sessions, and lead the coaching of teachers. Costs associated with releasing teachers to attend modules will also be supported.
